Super objectif

Perfect! I love its compact size, its lightness and the exceptional quality of the photos it produces!

Incomparable sharpness

I bought this lens last week and spent the weekend recreating photos taken last year with the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and the RF 24-105mm supplied with my R6 Mark II. This is my first L-series lens, and there's no comparison. The sharpness and colors are incredible! I'm just an amateur, but good equipment really does make a difference!

Top for portraits

After careful consideration, I bought this lens, even though I already own the RF 50mm f/1.8, RF 35mm f/1.8, RF 28-70mm f/2.0 and RF 85mm f/1.8 Macro. This lens is a real portrait beast. At f/1.2, the background becomes silky smooth, highlighting the subject magnificently. I particularly appreciate the speed of the autofocus, especially in low light, which preserves ambient lighting. What's more, in manual focus mode, I can achieve an even shallower depth of field, ideal for capturing fine details such as eyes in portraits. As I mainly shoot weddings, this lens has become indispensable for achieving vibrant colors. Nothing beats Canon! In fact, after falling in love with the f/1.2 aperture, I ended up replacing my RF 85mm f/1.8 with the RF 85mm f/1.2.
